Please note these social occasions are included only for 7 day Participant Registrations.

Dinner at the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant
Date: Wednesday 9 December 2009
Time: 08:35 – 23:30
Cost: A$130 per person

Minimum 2 pax for non exclusive dinning (or 36 for exclusive carriage)

Melbourne is known for its trams, leafy boulevards and grand culinary experiences. This three hour dining experience combines all these things. Onboard the lovingly restored and decorated 1920s tramcar, guests will enjoy a 5 course meal, including beverages, while the tramcar travels around Melbourne.

Includes 5 course meal onboard and selected beverages (transport not included)

Royal Botanic Gardens
Date: Sunday 6 December 2009
Time: 9:30 – 12:30hrs
Cost: A$60 per person

Minimum of 25 pax required

Melbourne appropriately calls itself the "Garden State" and the Melbourne Royal Botanic Gardens are certainly the finest Botanic Gardens in Australia. This three hour tour gives guests the opportunity to discover the sweeping lawns and meandering paths on an escorted tour through the Botanic Gardens including the Aboriginal Cultural walk.

Includes guide assistance, return luxury coach transfers and 1.5 hour guided aboriginal gardens tour.

Majestic Melbourne
Date: Monday 7 December 2009
Time: 10:00 – 13:00hrs
Cost: A$50 per person

Minimum of 20 pax required

This three hour coach tour is designed to give participants an orientation of the city. The tour includes visits to points of interest such as Queen Victoria Markets, Melbourne Cricket Ground and Olympic Park, Spencer Street Station, Federation Square, The Shrine of Remembrance, the Royal Botanic Gardens and Albert Park Lake and the Grand Prix site.

Museums and Galleries of Victoria
Date: Monday 7 December 2009

Cost: A$ 50 per person

Enjoy the wonderful culture of Melbourne by visiting the Melbourne Museum and National Gallery of Victoria . These award winning museum and gallery comprise more than 20,000 works including the NGV's collection of Australian art which is one of the oldest and best known in the country. You can also explore a rainforest, see the famous Pharlap and learn about the Aboriginal culture at Bunjilaka which hosts one of the most significant collections of Aboriginal cultural heritage items in the world.

Dome Secrets Tour

Visit the State Library and marvel at a Renaissance manuscript commissioned by the Medici family of Florence in 1479 or a leaf from the 1450s Gutenberg Bible at Mirror of the World. Discover for yourself the majestic domed reading room built in 1913. Visit the Changing Faces of Victoria, an exhibition that brings together historical artefacts, photographs, drawings, maps, letters and diaries to tell the stories of the people, places and events that have shaped life in Victoria over the past 200 years.

Heide Art Experience

Heide Museum of Modern Art is a heady mix of contemporary art, bold architecture and rich social and cultural history. At Heide's Albert & Barbara Tucker Gallery, take a walk through The Goddess grins as Albert Tucker explores complex and varied representations of women over a period of seven decades. Take a walk through a sculptured landscape and dream bohemian dreams about the artists that once called this place their home.

Penguin Parade to Phillip Island
Date: Tuesday 8 December 2007

Phillip Island boasts two of Australia's greatest natural attractions, Seal Rocks and the Penguin Reserve. This late afternoon tour features the Fairy Penguins at Phillip Island Nature Park and the Fur Seals. Depart Melbourne for Phillip Island, where the Little Penguins that nest there perform a “parade” every evening – emerging from the sea and waddling up the beach to their burrows. Be privy to one nature's most spectacular shows – a few minutes after sunset. The tour includes entrance to the Nature Park and access to the premium viewing area.

Yarra Valley Food and Wine
Date: Wednesday 9 December 2007

Cost: A$199 per person

Minimum of 20 pax required

Visit world famous Yarra Valley for a day of Fine food and wine. Travel through the Dandenong ranges to arrive at the destination - the Yarra Valley . Visit 3 premier wineries for personalised wine tastings, sample local cheeses and enjoy a delicious 2 course lunch at a vineyard restaurant before returning to the city.
